Terra Nova Bridge/Sea Pen Closer Look

I love it when a project comes together.  I'm not sure what other people will think of this but I'm really pleased with the end result.

Here it is in a day shot.  I much prefer the night shot but then again I always do.

This is from the very corner of the end pen across them all.  I did a cut away section at the bottom of the bridge supports.  I normally have them rise up above the bridge all the way along but after I completed the bottom I was so happy with the results I decided not to go ahead with adding the tops.

Here is a shot from the top of one of the gates.  Each side has a small room for anyone needing a log off area in a hurry.  No ground access from this level.

Here is the same shot at night.  It gives a good shot of the lighting hidden under the walkway of the bridge.

This is a top down shot of two of the pens.  You can see the mosa deep in the pen.  I went with Metal Behe as they have no top on the gate which should be handy incase someone needs to take a raft in there for some reason.

This shot is the dino storage next to the middle passage.  The area under here is for any small dinos players have ridden here.

This is from the walk way on the seapen side (obviously).

A night shot of the same view.  Each gate is lit with a different colour so at night anyone heading home at night has an easier time of it.  I may put a beacon out to sea later on.

Here is the back of the bridge nice and simple.  The pillars only lead to the surface.  There was no need to extend it any further

This is looking down on the central passage.

New Terra Nova - Days 19 - 28

Greetings programs!  I have been busy building and for the most part you probably can't even tell what I've been up to lol.  But the most notable and biggest project which I did over the last 3 days was the seapen bridge combo.  I volunteered to add a community sea pen while I was building my own.  It took me a a few days of saving materials up so I could do it in a big chunk

This is between the SW island and the mainland.  It is rather deep here so the pens have plenty of space.  I colour coded the gates so its easier to locate your own pen.  I'm rather happy about the look of this project its a bit different to the bridges I've done in the past.

As you can see there is a sloped hatch in the ramp of each side of the bridge to allow ground access to the seapens.  There is a gap in the middle of the seapens to allow raft travel as I don't like blocking off water ways.

I have extended the cliff where we park the rexes.  This has given us considerable extra space and has removed the rough rock formations that had holes that you could get stuck in lol

I have increased the base of the tower so that the barn is a few tiles bigger.  I found it was getting to be a pain to move dinos around with all the tails so more space fixed that.  I also was able to add a lower second tier of barn on this side.  This will be for really small egg layers.  Around the tops I have placed plant species X to sort out the damn seagulls.  I would put them over more of the compound but I don't want them to shoot down any tames we bring past.

Can't recall if I've shown this one or not but I've added a ramp to the beach on the cliff side of the base next to the rex stand.

I mentioned in one of the last posts that we had a new PC coming to the house and I planned to try some vids.  Well thats still on the cards.  I've had a play with OBS this morn on that machine and its not doing too bad.  I'll need to play some more to dial settings in so it doesn't appear jumpy and sort out the volume to the mic as its SUPER quiet.  We had to order in a new GFX card for that PC as the one I had assigned for it died after installing it :(  But its the same card I run GT730 which is a grunty lil guy :)  With my lack of recording knowledge it may take a while for me to get settings right but I'm hoping to at least produce a few low-medium quality walk through vids to show you around.
